Information for Schools
Whether you need support for an individual pupil, a small group, or a child whose parent has requested for wellbeing support during school hours, I make the process simple and seamless. My approach minimises disruption to the school day while helping children restore their wellbeing.
Step One
Initial Contact and Information Sharing
Schools are welcome to arrange a phone call or meeting to discuss the needs of individual pupils or groups and explore the support I provide.
To help identify key areas of focus, staff are invited to complete a brief Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ), ensuring that support is tailored to each child's needs.
Step Two
Planning and Setup
Together, we agree on a suitable weekly time slot - typically outside of core subject lessons - and a dedicated space for sessions to ensure consistency. I create a calm, predictable environment where pupils feel safe and supported, promoting a positive and beneficial experience.
Each week, I introduce tailored wellbeing strategies and engaging activities designed to support the child's emotional and social development. To keep everyone informed and involved, I share strategies and activities via a weekly email with both parents and teachers.
Step Three
Support in Action
The 12-week programme begins, offering structured, targeted support to pupils while ensuring minimal disruption to their classroom learning.
Each session is designed to build emotional resilience, develop coping strategies, and foster overall wellbeing.
To ensure progress is monitored effectively, I conduct regular check-ins with staff, parents, and pupils, allowing for adjustments to my approach as needed.
At the end of the programme, a follow-up Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) is completed to assess progress. The outcomes, including key observations and recommendations, are shared via email with parents and teachers, providing a clear picture of the child's development and next steps.
