Wellbeing Support for Parents and Carers

Being a parent/carer can make it tough to focus on your own physical and emotional wellbeing. The days often fly by in a whirlwind of school runs, household chores, after-school activities, playdates, and acting as a taxi service with later and later call-outs as your children grow older. Juggling these responsibilities with work commitments can leave you feeling physically and emotionally drained.

When a child/teenager has individual sessions with Drawing Comfort, I also encourage their parents/carers to reflect on their own self-care practices. Think of it as doing a quick check-up on your typical week to see how much stress you're under and what you're doing to regularly relieve that pressure.

If you’re like most parents/carers I’ve supported previously, you might find your self-care practices have taken a backseat. This isn’t a reflection on you as a person—it’s a very common symptom of being a parent/carer in today’s world.

Even small changes in how you prioritise your self-care can make a big difference. I'm here to help with guidance, suggestions, and directing you to different wellbeing practices. Not only will you feel better, but you'll also create a more positive vibe for your whole family.
